A Call To Arms For a Friend In Need.

Hello Friends,

One of my best friends, Richie Wolk, is homeless, suffering from EDS, with no sign of help. Not even enough money in his pocket to get a bus ticket to somewhere safe.

If you can spare anything, even a dollar, it would make the world of difference to not only him, but me as well. Becoming homeless can happen to anyone, and at this point, charity is the only real solution. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome can never be cured, but with some basic housing, and support, at least a little bit of comfort can be obtained.

If you feel that you are interested, and able, to donate, you can find his fundraiser: Richie the Homeless Ehlers-Danlos guy

Setting Up My New Camera - Fast Forward [142]

Greetings friends,

Today I show you a timelapse of me setting up my Canon Vixia HF R500.

I like the way this turned out, and the experimental nature of the editing.

This was footage that was shot just got the fun of it, and I figured I might as well find a use for it. :D

I think it is kind of cool how Drone-like the camera looked in front of the green backdrop.

Creating a Pink Baby Shower Invitation in Adobe Photoshop [Time Lapse]

I am quite proud of this work, the finished product came out so well, and if it didn't have personal information I would love to share it!

The center spot I reserved for a picture ended up being used for the baby's name, and the top text ended up saying "You're Invited To:"

Save Our Existence: Stop Global Climate Destabilization Now

Hi,
The well being of humanity, our own existence, is more important than the well being of any Economy.

The troubled short-term discomfort of a possible economic collapse is less of a burden than the wide-spread, long-term, possibly humanity ending, future that we have to look forward to if little to no action is taken to prevent the Global Climate Destabilization now.

That's why I created a petition to The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Barack Obama, which says: "Counteract the looming Global Climate Destabilization by accepting the Economic risks at ALL costs, to create a truly sustainable environment."

Will you sign this petition?

Click here: http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/save-our-existence-stop?source=c.em.cp&r_by=7070700
Thanks!

How It All Ends

I support saying fuck the short term risks, acting preemptively to avoid a larger issue is always the best idea. I think it is time to have some personal accountability, and realise that we can't continue to push our problems off on the next person down the line.

Let's all take the proper steps to stand up, united, learning what we need to learn to create a sustainable environment, while also helping to teach those who are behind the ball. Why must we wait until it is too late to act, before we show even the slightest interest in anything other than our wallets?

We the culmination of a generation of people overwhelmed by consumerism and greed, without the slightest interest in using what we have and having what we'll actually use.

If you don't fall into that category, great! Continue to grow, expand, share, and create, whatever it is that you love.

However, if you are in that category, it is time for you to realise that you are the dead weight that is holding the general populace back, because you are too lazy to investigate the facts beyond what is force fed down your throats through the mass media of your choosing.

So, you come to a fork in the road. You can continue on, following the path you find comfortable, holding the world back because you want to neglect to question your rational.

Or, alternatively, you can grow your understanding, realise that it is okay to have been wrong, and re-assess your future actions.

It is time to let go of out dated practices. It is time to accept the fact that we have the power to create a future that is almost unrecognizable to our current standing as humans. Yet, it requires temporary discomfort.

But which is worse? Temporary discomfort, or long term hardship that will change the face of all that we know and love, without ever even attempting to find some sort of solution to the ever looming demise of our own existence?

I for one shall choose the temporary discomfort, and those with me, stand up, be heard, and assemble as much knowledge as possible to break down the current boundaries of our limited understanding. For if you don't take the steps to change your own life, no one can do it for you, and eventually, you then become the same dead weight that you protested against.

Additionally, we sing Happy Birthday to our favorite little speck of dust, journeying around our lovely ball of fire in the sky.

Which, why not celebrate such an occasion? This is after all, the only home we've ever known.
